Here at Hunter and Lola, our aim is to show our customers that buying handmade gives you a unique, high quality, and original item - that not only can't be found on the high street, but also enables you to support a range of small businesses and conservation projects through your purchase. Which is why all of our products are designed and created by us, and our raw products and materials are sourced from ethical and independent suppliers around the world.

GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK

Anyone that knows me personally knows that I'm a big nature lover, and most of our free time is spent outdoors come rain, shine or snow! We're very fortunate to live with a vast National Trust nature reserve and woodland surrounding our home - which offers a lovely evening walking spot for us during the summer months. As well as living down the road from both a local country park, and Abberton Reservoir - one of Europe's top Wildlife Trust reserves, with 25 hectares of wetland habitat.

We think that enjoying and protecting our environment is pretty important. Which is why our business reflects our passion for the outdoors by not only being an eco-conscious brand, but also by supporting important conservation projects around the world. Over the past year, we've made positive changes to become a more eco-conscious brand that actively supports the world's environment. We're really pleased to say that all of our parcels are now packed using only re-usable, recycled, or biodegradable materials. Find out more about our materials and packaging here.

PLANTING TREES FOR OUR FUTURE

We're committed to giving back to our planet - so from 1st February 2020, for every order placed with Hunter and Lola, we will plant one tree on your behalf. Our vision is to plant 1 million trees through this project. See our interactive counter below for how many trees we've planted so far!

ABOUT OFFSET EARTH & EDEN REFORESTATION PROJECTS

In February 2020 we partnered with Offset Earth - a conversation project that gives us the opportunity to do more good in the world, whilst still staying true to our love for the outdoors. Working alongside Eden Projects, Offset Earth funds climate projects around the world that take positive steps towards reducing extreme poverty, and restoring healthy forests and wildlife habitats by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year.

It's scientifically proven that one of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis and keep our temperatures from rising above 1.5C is to plant trees. Sustainable reforestation projects such those run by the Eden Reforestation Project work to reduce extreme poverty forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year - supporting both our eco-system, and the local economy with safe and ethical work environments. Which is why we think that it's important to support the continued work of these reforestation projects around the world.

All projects that Offset Earth invest in are Gold Standard certified - a certification body that works to ensure that every penny of climate and development funding goes as far as it can.
